My colleague Chloe von Widdern is presenting some of our latest work exploring how digital products, platforms and interventions can be made more inclusive. Some of the typical questions we looked to answer included:⦁ How differently do I need to consider, and then design solutions for rural women and rural men?⦁ What are the methods or frameworks I can use to inform my design to make it more inclusive?⦁ How have other organisations done this, what were their obstacles and how did they tackle them?Organisations face really practical challenges when trying to develop inclusive solutions; and the advice then also needs to be really practical (and realistic) in order to be useful and actionable. Encouraging all those interested in practical solutions to the challenges of digital exclusion to take a listen. 🌟 Exciting developments shared from last week's public forum 🌟We had the opportunity to connect with an amazing group of individuals and experts in the fields of #opendata, #DigitalPublicInfrastructure, and technology for social impact. Our discussions centered around the transformational potential of open source initiatives, the challenges of governance, and the power of collaboration in driving meaningful change.The conversations covered a wide range of topics; individuals shared the importance of enhancing the #transparency and the value of supporting resilient and sustainable communities.From the exploration of initiatives like the Potential Pathways for Open Source Ecosystems (POSE) to our conversations about Link's future operating models and its collaboration with OpenSI (the Open Source Institute), the passionate and diverse perspectives in the group shared their insights on leveraging technology for positive societal impact.It was motivating to witness the support for the digital public goods movement, and we are eager to continue engaging with the community to build collaboration in this space.Special thanks to all the individuals who participated in these discussions and shared their invaluable insights.
